It's always daunting, I think, to take a piece of work that the community knows (and loves as it is) and try to represent it accurately, respectfully, but also with freshness; it's hard. That's why I have such endless admiration for the people in this fandom o_o;;; because...honest to goodness I've never seen the likes of it - the scope of ideas as well as the generated material, and the general kindness to boot.
